Rexx was
originally founded in 1986 as Wamblyville BBS by Chris Gorman of 2am
Associates (The authors of the 2AM-BBS software.) It was purchased by
the Current Owner, John Borowski, in 1991. The system went commercial
in late 1993 and became part of the RelayNet message network.
In 1994 Rexx first connected to the internet using UUCP as wambly.com
and
later as tramrexx.com. The company became Rexx Electronic
Communications and registered the rexx.com domain in 1995.
Unlike many
small ISP's, Rexx is a "brick and mortar" business; We are not a
virtual ISP or reseller. We operate our own network and equipment.
Our main office has been located in West
Hollywood California for over 12 years. The West Hollywood office
contains our primary server and switching facilities, and the Telcom
Call Center.
Operations and software development are located in our office in Reno,
Nevada.
